Okay, so we have all heard about the diamond glitch and lets face it, we have all used it to. The glitch is very convenient yes, but it's also not fair. I personally use it and to be honest I abuse it. I think it should be patched, and instead of that they should just bring in the free build mode. Or people can play Fortresscraft. Opinions anyone?

Personally.. I think it isn't fair to those who have started their world from scratch and have actually made an attempt to play legitimately. I've never attempted to do the duplication glitch or the inventory modification glitch; although I was considering it for a while. I would prefer going underground and finding all the diamonds, iron, gold and other blocks legitimately, as it's fun and it's great to explore what's underneath the ground we're situated on. If someone's modified their inventory, that's fine, and I don't really have a problem with that. It's just whenever they start bragging about all of the 'blocks they've found'. I really hope they get around to patching that duplication method, and also the inventory modification. I also hope to see that everyone who has used the glitch/modifications face consequences.

Consequences for a glitch in a noncompetitive singleplayer game? I think not.

Yeah I agree it's not hurting anybody. For it not being fair, HOW isn't it? Your not on their world to see it anyways. It doesn't hurt anybody. Mind your own is the way I see it. But thats just me.

The only thing that annoys me is seeing people ask other people for the game.

You must realise that Minecraft isn't just a single-player game. Many people join others' worlds.

There is also a 'competitive' side to Minecraft.

There are leaderboards for a reason. Modding your inventory will give you additional blocks, thus resulting in players having more blocks used on the leaderboards.

The idea of a Minecraft leaderboard is pointless. Honestly, having a leaderboard saying you've walked 500km doesn't really do anything. Also, a lot of people use to glitch as a form of creative mode. The glitch really isn't hurting anyone except the leaderboard tryhards.
