Arena and Daggerfall are not that good but Morrowind is where it picked up saved the series. Although it is good to know the entire Lore.
I remember emulating Arena for the first time, my character reminded me of Heman.

Actually they were pretty good in 1994... Just like morrowind was pretty good in 2002. I guess in 8 years games made a little progress. While we're at it lets compare morrowind to skyrim. Morrowind isn't that good.

Morrowind is excellent.
I liked the first two elderscrolls. They were not liked in their time. That is why the Elderscrolls was a failing series until Morrowind became. It was revolutionary and led to other RPG games on the same track and more Elderscrolls. Then the later take over of Fallout from Interplay.

Just because the "cool" kids didn't play them doesn't mean they weren't liked. If they didn't make any money where did the development budget for Morrowind come from?

You are an idiot...
Even Todd Howard said this, and they did make money from the games but not everybody enjoyed them. You are seeing things so blindly.

My point is that without these "abysmal falures" your beloved Morrowind would not exsist. You are comparing a 1994 game to a 2002 game. And yes by todays standards morrowind is pretty lame. I can put my "rose tinted nostalga goggles" on for these games just like you can for Morrowind. However if you only played these games years after the fact on an emulator I can see how you can't see the nostalgia.

Also I thought you were the fallout lore guru. Fallout wasn't "taken over" by Interplay they were the original developers. If you wanna be a know it all and not look dumb make sure you got your facts straight. I guess you never played the first fallout either.

You misread it. Bethesda took Fallout from Interplay. I suppose your comprehension knowledge does not reach that far.
