Everytime i play minecraft single player when I move into different areas I get chunk updates my FPS then drops from 70FPS to around 1,2, or 3 FPS. Any ideas on helping me?

My PC has 6GB of RAM and a 1GB Graphics card.

Go to the task manager and set the priority of the program to (High). Also go in to your video settings and set everything to its lowest.
