An i3-2100 + MSI Z77 G43 = 8x 8x CF compatibility and better performance and upgrade options. Also, SB does better with 1.5v RAM or lower. If you don't need a KB+mouse, don't buy it for the sake of buying it. Chances are it's some cheap plastic KB and mouse that fits a 5 years old hand. Save up for a nice mechanical KB if that suites you ( I'm looking at the CM qucikfire myself ).

Got it. Just switch from the 965 to the i3-2100 and you should be set.

Yes.

It's going to be one little sweet budget build!

Just a tip, there are better cases for $50 and have actual cable management features ( HAF 912 maybe? ).

Lowest end 1155 board that will only screw you over in the long run, unneeded money towards an O/S, and a case with no cable management features and will only restrict airflow. Buying parts individually will get you better quality and cost less.

By changing the CPU im loosing my HDD which would cost about a 50$-90$ more.

What could the i3-2100 give me more then the one i have now?

The AMD board is only $30 less and the i3-2100 is on par with the 965 in the price range...

It's worth it, trust me.
