It was one of the worst nuclear crisis'. It happened awhile ago. It was caused because one of the members working in the Nuclear Power Plant failed to do his safety inspection correctly and one nuclear reactor exploded catching the whole place on fire. The soviets tried to cover it up but they couldn't and yeah. There are still people effected by this today, many have physical and mental disorders.

I think the worst part is that the nuclear radiation is going to be there for literally hundreds of thousands of years, rendering the entire effected area uninhabitable.
