My Signature and Avatar were reset...Posted:

Right, so basically I recently changed my avatar and signature to a picture of a marijuana leaf.
Not half an hour after I changed it, both my avatar and my signature had been reset. I went to my inbox, and sure enough, I had a warning message as follows:
You have been issued a warning!
Level: High
Reason/Warning:

Your avatar has been reset (Inappropriate Material).
Now, all marijuana is is a plant, and if a plant can be considered inappropriate, then we really need to take a step back and have a think about that. If plants were considered inappropriate, then florist websites would have to be censored as much as pornography websites, with an age restriction.
However, at the end of the message to me it directed me to the Community Rules, and in the Community Rules, in reference to Avatars, Signatures and Banners, there is only one that applies to my situation, and it is as follows:
Absolutely no nudity or offensive material in your avatar, banner, or signature will be permitted. - Point 8.1, look it up.
Well, a plant does not contain nudity, so that's that one of the list. So, by the guidelines of the Community Rules, my Avatar, as a marijuana leaf, was reset as it is "offensive material".
By definition, being offensive is, and I quote, "Causing someone to feel deeply hurt, upset, or angry"
And if someone can feel deeply hurt, upset or angry, because of a f*cking plant, then sort your f*cking life out.
And yes, I am well aware that this is breaking rule 5.1 in the section of respecting the authority of staff, don't tell me.

1.5 Signatures must not contain anything illegal, explicit, contain nudity, or contain porn. The same rule applies for avatars and banners.
This needs to be altered in the rules so it's in the avatars, signatures and banners section, I'll try and get an admin to sort it.

Thank you for that, however some things, such as cannbis, are legal in some places and not others. What do you do about that?

Thank you for that, however some things, such as cannbis, are legal in some places and not others. What do you do about that?
Good question but since it's only legal in a minority of areas and we don't allow any drug talk full stop, I don't think it would be made to compensate for that as I can see members taking advantage of it.
