i bought my jtag from my friends brother a year ago. i didnt know much about jtags, so i didnt know what a nand was or else i would have asked for it. so if any one can help me that would be awsome and if you coan show me how to update the newest dash that would be awsome

Well since you don't have the original NAND you can recover it through flash 360 which is in xex menu. All you need is plug in a usb and start flash 360. Then there is an option to save the nand file.

The original nand is a regular Xbox Nand (not a hacked image) that you would write a image to (like fbbuild) so if your original nand was on your console, you wouldn't be able to use things like xexmenu and other unsigned apps.

Ask the guy you bought the console from if he has a copy of the original nand. He shouldn't have sold you a console without the proper files included.
You could also get a donor nand, you should probably look into that a bit.

You can't recover it unless you save it the first time you Read all the nands ect...
