someone told me that if you jailbreak your iphone the phone company knows of it and denies you of service. Is that true?

no because if they found out somehow that you had jailbroke and they said we want to run checks on the phone you could simply update it and restore and they would not know. If you are not going round to the componay chanting i jailbroke then no.Basiclly it would not ruin the service

No they have no clue because that would be an invasion of privacy.

No they can not deny you service. But jailbreaking does void your warranty from apple. other than that nothing happens to you

Of course not, nor can your phone company deny you use of service because you tampered with your phone. Apple itself can refuse to repair your phone because it has been jailbroken.

Apple allows your idevice to be jailbroken, it does void your warranty, but you can always restore it before you take it in.
