hey guys i just bought a new usb. i installed mw2 on it and i put the tu7 on it and a new xp patch. But when i started the game my jtag turned off and then turned back on. Like i just clicked default mp.xex and it shut off. please help so i can do lobbies again. i will rep

Why wouldn't you install it to the hard drive? Playing games off of a USB on a JTAG doesn't really work to well. You need to use an external hard drive like one from Western Digital... and where'd you install MW2 it sounds like you installed it to the USB.

the hdd is only 3 gb so I bought an external 1tb hdd

Then you may have downloaded a corrupt patch or one that just doesn't work... try downloading one from the creator of the patch.
