Saints Row Review: Saints Row was the one the greatest games I played at the end of it, it just made me hope for another which eventually happened with the release of Saint Row 2 which was a great sequel which came to Saints Row The Third which I have to say was one of the biggest disappointment of the series I played. But overall Saints Row is a great series

Saints Row begins with the player (an unnamed character) in the fictional metropolitan city of Stilwater, based on cities such as Detroit and Chicago,[3] in the middle of a gang war between several gang factions. Though he attempts to maintain distance, he witnesses a fight amongst the 3 major gangs. Members from one gang attempt to gun him down; however, the 3rd Street Saints, led by Julius Little, steps in and save him. Julius informs the player that he formed the Saints to bring down the other three gangs with the goal of returning peace to the streets. After proving himself to the Saints, he's initiated into the gang and then asked to assist them in taking over the city from three gangs in the city: the Vice Kings, Los Carnales, and the Westside Rollerz. The player, over the course of the game, assists in several missions and stronghold takeovers against each rival gang, slowly bringing the entire city under control by the Saints.
The player works with Johnny Gat against the Vice Kings who control most of the Stilwater's entertainment. They target several of their interests and eventually, Johnny is captured by the VKs' enforcer Anthony Green. The player then kills Green and saves Johnny who gets a leg brace due to an injury. Later, Vice Kings second-in-command Warren Williams leads a coup against the leader Benjamin King due to arguments and has him fleeing. On Julius' orders, the player saves King and attacks Warren. Warren is later killed by the Kings' prostitution manager Tanya Winters who takes all the power for herself. The player and Gat, with King as their ally, attack the gang's headquarters where King kills Tanya, ending the Vice Kings.
The player and Dexter Jackson work strategies against Los Carnales who deal in arms and drugs. Several LC drug labs are hit and the player eventually assassinates the leader Hector Lopez. Hector's younger brother Angelo takes charge and orders an attack on the Saints hideout, but it fails and the player kills the Carnales' enforcer Victor Rodriguez. Eventually, the Saints work out a deal with the Carnales liaison Manuel Orijuela who gives Angelo's location. The player and Dex attack it and Angelo is forced to flee. He does so by plane, but the player destroys it, killing Angelo and terminating Los Carnales.
Lin disguises herself as a member of the street racing Westside Rollerz and gives the player tips from within the gang. The two sabotage several of the Rollerz interests. Eventually, she is found out and is shot and stuffed into her car trunk with the player by Rollerz financer William Sharp who then pushes the car into the water. Lin sacrifices herself so that the player can escape and kill Sharp in a car chase. Eventually, Sharp's nephew and Rollerz leader Joseph Price attacks the Saints hideout and fails, resulting in the player killing Price in a car chase.
The game apparently ends when the player receives a call from Julius, who tells the player that he is the new second-in-command. However, he implies that he is about to be arrested by corrupt cops, who were waiting for the gang wars to end before they made their move against the Saints. At this point, other members of the Saints ask the player for their orders.
After a shortened version of the credits, featuring only the voice actors in the game, and the game appears to be completed, the player is allowed to engage in three "epilogue" missions, resulting in attacks on the mayor and the corrupt police chief in order to try to free Julius from prison. Once the mayor is dead, the player is invited to the private yacht of Alderman Richard Hughes, the only other candidate for mayor in the upcoming election. Hughes thanks the player for eradicating his political rival for him, planning to use his mayoral power to destroy the Saints. Before the player can respond to Hughes' ultimatum, a bomb can be heard beeping and the yacht explodes, leaving the player's character's fate in question as the game ends.

At the end of Saints Row, the protagonist was aboard Alderman Richard Hughes' luxury yacht when a bomb exploded on the yacht leaving the fates of Hughes and the protagonist unknown. In Saints Row 2, it is revealed that Hughes was killed and the protagonist was put into a coma. Five years pass and the protagonist awakes in a prison hospital ward and received extensive plastic surgery. The protagonist meets inmate Carlos Mendoza and the pair escape the island and return to the protagonist's home city Stilwater, rebuilt by the Ultor Corporation after a devastating earthquake that left parts of the city below sea-level. The protagonist then rescues his/her friend Johnny Gat from a courtroom proceeding, enlists the help of Carlos, Shaundi (a former college student and bohemian), and Pierce Washington (the gang's new strategist), and begins to rebuild the divided Third Street Saints gang. The protagonist, now referred to as the Boss for most of the game, leads the Saints on a quest to retake the city. The main storyline is divided into three separate story mission arcs, completable at any time and in any order.
Saints Row: The Third

Since the events of Saints Row 2, the 3rd Street Saints have turned their street gang into a media empire after merging with the Ultor Corporation, becoming icons and household names across the world, with their own energy drink, Japanese commercials, toys, a large fanbase, and a movie deal in the works. But when they attempt to rob a bank with actor Josh Birk in tow, their everyday routine takes an unlikely turn when the bank tellers unexpectedly fight back with military grade weapons. The Saints attempt to airlift the vault out of the building, but when Birk foolishly sets off the alarm, it alerts the Stilwater P.D. and, after a large-scale firefight with police and S.W.A.T, the Saints are incarcerated.
In prison, Saints second-in-command Johnny Gat berates what the Saints have become, expressing disappointment at having strayed from their roots. At that point, an international crime organization called the Syndicate bribes the police to release Protagonist, Gat, and Shaundi. The three are forcibly taken to the Syndicate's leader Phillipe Loren to try and negotiate a business plan with them aboard Loren's private jet. While in-flight, Loren tells them they will be allowed to live if they turn over two-thirds of their revenue made in Stilwater. The Boss and Gat immediately reject this offer, and are able to fight their way out. The Boss and Shaundi parachute their way out, whilst Gat is killed.
Upon landing, the two find themselves in the Syndicate controlled city of Steelport. The Saints invade Steelport in an attempt to profit off the city and also take control of organized crime away from the Syndicate as revenge for killing Gat. The game's main plot revolves around removing the three gangs that the Syndicate is composed of. These gangs consist of the Morningstar, personally led by Loren and twin sisters Viola and Kiki Dewynter, a group of European businessmen that control Steelport's sex and weapons trades, the Deckers, a group of elite hackers that launder money for the Syndicate and the Luchadores, a group of heavily-armed Mexican wrestlers who control gambling and steroid trades.
After calling Pierce Washington, the Boss' new second-in-command, into Steelport, the Saints seize a Morning Star penthouse for their new headquarters, hijack a bomb from a military base, and begin attacking Morning Star's businesses, culminating with an attack on Loren's headquarters, in which the Saints rescue Oleg Kirlov, an apparent superhuman and template for the Syndicate's Brute clones, and Loren is killed. When the Saints try to transport Gat's body for his funeral, Killbane, the leader of the Luchadores and new leader of the Syndicate, leads an attack on them. The fight destroys Stilwater's Hughes Memorial Bridge in the process.
To retaliate, the player seeks out anti-Syndicate talent, recruiting Oleg as an enforcer, ex-FBI hacker Kinzie Kensington as an informant; Zimos, the oldest pimp in Steelport; and Angel de la Muerte, Killbane's vengeful former tag-team partner. They are later joined by Viola after Killbane kills her twin sister Kiki out of rage due to a failed assassination attempt on the Boss by hookers. Her defection, however, coincides with the arrival of the paramilitary S.T.A.G. (Special Tactical Anti-Gang)unit forces in Steelport, created by senator Monica Hughes after the destruction of the bridge to end gang violence once and for all. The Saints take on STAG regardless, resulting in Steelport going under martial law, whilst also dealing with the Syndicate.
After providing Kinzie with the appropriate technology, the player enters the Deckers' mainframe, defeating Deckers leader Matt Miller's avatar in a virtual reality fight and driving him and most of the Deckers out of town. At Angel's insistence, the player opts to take on Killbane by killing the other contestants in his Murderbrawl XXXI pay-per-view to gain entrance, and then, with Angel's help, defeating Killbane and his Luchadores. As a result, an enraged Killbane responds by instigating several attacks on the Saints and STAG throughout Steelport to cause chaos.
Whilst quelling the fighting between the Luchadores and STAG, the Boss is simultaneously informed that Killbane is escaping the city while STAG second-in-command Kia is holding Shaundi, Viola, and Mayor Burt Reynolds at a Steelport monument rigged to blow to frame the Saints. If the Boss opts to eliminate Killbane, the destruction of the monument is used as a pretext by STAG to attack Steelport with the airborne aircraft carrier Daedalus; the final mission consequently sees the Boss destroying the Daedalus, killing STAG leader Cyrus Temple in the process, and declaring Steelport an independent city-state under the Saints' control. If the Boss kills Kia and saves Shaundi and the others, the Saints are hailed as heroes for saving the monument and STAG pulls out of Steelport with the threat that they will be back. The final mission instead has the Boss track Killbane down to Mars and kill him in what is ultimately revealed to be a scene from the Saints sci-fi film Gangstas in Space, based on Gat's comic books, seen in a mission earlier.
