I currently have a tethered 5.1 jailbreak.
I want to update to 5.1.1
Does anyone know how I could do this?
I don't want to restore my device

What device do you have? You should be able to go into the settings and update there.
Download Absinthe 2.0 and run as administrator
then jailbreak

iPod touch 4g
When I update it says "An error occurred downloading iOS 5.1.1."

You can you have to restore you device if it was untethered then you could do it without restoring. The new update for 5.1.1 is not really needed it just fixes bugs

I just jailbreaked my iPhone 4s 30 minutes ago. You need the newest version 2.1 absinthe and to run as admin, other than that people always said trying helps.

Are you connected to the internet? that was the problem that I was having with my iPhone4s.
I just connected it to the internet and left it close to the router so it was able to update.

Never update your iDevice via setting while jailbroken.
