It's probably dropping right now because they haven't released a new console in a very long time. People want new hardware, better graphics, etc. When they release a new one, I see it rising again.

It's not dying, the xbox has been out for over 5 years now and it still attracts a lot of gamers. The numbers on MW3 are low becausse it's crap and has strayed away from hardcore gaming. They are now trying to target everyday people who won't sweat for 5 hours straight on a game which seems to be killing off big name titles e.g MW3. If the game designers started to concentrate more on the audience they already have instead of trying to make gaming more "family friendly" or "fun for everyone" then the console gaming population will increase.
