Budget: 100-200$ USD.

Music preference: Rap, Dubstep

Type / form factor and portability: Over ear, Not looking into portability really. Maybe an included carrying case? Nothing too special. I don't care honestly.

Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): Closed

Source(s): iPhone, Laptop (Fl Studios.)

I should of taken your advice. Their is this kid in my grade who most likely stole the beats but he sells them around. I got a pair of Solo's for 50 bucks. Needless to say, i have a view words to say on them.

Garbage
Terrible
Glass (Extremely delicate)

I swear, not even a fourth of what you pay is what you get. The top of the headphones is crappy plastic. My 50 buck Sony MDR XB500 can easily be compared to these headphones. Save yourself 200 and do not get beats!

Haha, the Koss KSC75 is often available under $10 and it thrashes the Solo! You got that right.

Check out the V-Moda LP2, Ultrasone HFI-580, Audio Technica Pro 700 MkII, Philips Citiscape Uptown, and M-Audio Q40. There are even more options listed in the guide.

I know it's above $50, but it's more than worth it. These perform unbelievably well for their price. They also come with a TON of extra tips, have incredible build quality, and are very comfortable.

Hey im back again. So I got to thinking and instead of earbuds I think im going to go with headphones

Budget: $100ish

Music preference: Same as above

Type / form factor and portability: On-ear/portable

Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): If I have them on I dont want other people to hear it but if I take it off and crank it up they can.... Not sure what that would fall under.

If you can swing the extra $25, these are perfect for you. Incredible isolation, great sound for rock, and indestructible. They're usually considerably more expensive, but these are Sennheiser-approved refurbs. Since these are so well-built, I'd say it's definitely money well-saved.
