PSG1 wrote SkyBlock is actually impossible right now, since you can't spawn every time up there. The spawns are within the chunk. So it can be anywhere in the 16x128x16
actually its not impossible you just have to kill yourself a couple times to spawn up there

its not working because you cant place them down too close to spawn

Besides the fact that you don't spawn on the island sometimes, the lava bucket is glitched. When I place it down it appears and disappears and shows nothing in the bucket but if I throw it the lava is back in the bucket but the lava will still not place.
