for mw2 steam you need mw2 liberation to host, for alter rev you use fs_game mods/MODNAME; to host, hope i helped

So we make a folder called mods in the Cod MW2 directory and put the files there?

no you have to download mw2 liberation [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] then put the menus in the mods folder of that, then run mw2 liberation, choose the mod you want to use and press load game then mw2 should load and you just start a privit match, and now you are hosting a mod Congrats
