Currently I have the GTX 550Ti and I'm looking for an upgrade to something that displays better fps (atleast 60+) on a 32inch lcd 1080p tv. I'm also looking for a good price range that is in the mist of $200-400 that will last me a while.

Any suggestion? or should I stick with my graphics card? (I dont mind amd cards)

Games you're looking to play and current system specifications is crucial in determining a video card. A GTX 670 is at the top of your budget and is just as good as AMD's 7970 but for less. But it's not going to work so well on a slow AMD dual core with a 450w no-name PSU.

I have an I7 2600 3.4 turbo to 3.8

Good, but it'd be nice to know all of the other specifications. As I said, a GTX 670 is a kick-a$$ video card and will slaughter any game out there right now, but it's not going to run on a cheapo PSU. But it's good to know your SB i7 won't be a bottleneck.

I would get a gtx 560 ti if you want something for a good low price. I have it and I can play BF3 at 1080p around 50-60 fps.

It's a good card but won't but won't be a drastic upgrade from a 550 ti. It's like someone upgrading a GTX 560 ti to a GTX 570, yes..it will be better, but dropping $300 for a 10% difference is ludicrous.

Well that's the only problem that's holding you back right now assuming you have an appropriate case to accommodate a high end video card such as a GTX 570 or a AMD 7870. You're only options would be to upgrade to a quality PSU that actually outputs advertised wattage and has enough AMPs on the 12v rail, such as a 650w XfX and grab a nice video card that'll be worth an upgrade ( GTX 570 on sale @ NCIX ) or stick with your current 550 ti.

Have you thought about buying another 550 Ti and upgrading the PSU?
