Ok so, which would matter more in rendering a video in Sony Vegas.
The processor speed, graphics card or the RAM.
For example, could I render faster on a laptop with an i3 and a great graphics card and 8 GB RAM or a laptop with an i5 and an intel graphics card and 4 GB RAM?
thanks

portablity duhh.... And go with the i5 because ram is upgradeable. Now if you play video games get the i3 because of the graphics.
Can I get the specs on both of the computers?

Unless the rendering program utilizes the cuda cores from an Nvidia GPU for example, a video card will make no difference. A lot of editing programs, including Sony Vegas to take full advantage of quad core CPU's and hyper-threading, so an i5 would destroy an i3 in a CPU benchmark like Cinebench and will heavily relate into rendering times. Unless you're getting capped out @ 4gb's whilst rendering 'x' file, 8gb's would not matter.

@Generation: Thanks dude!
@payne: I've noticed that if you post a topic about laptop specs you'll always get somebody saying "Why not just build a PC?" haha
