The elder scrolls is not a yearly game like call of duty (which I think is what makes it so much better) it can take literally years to create a game like skyrim. Just think of all the individual things they have to do to create it, story, graphics, new features

I heard in a special leaked interview that Todd Howard said: "If all my fans hold thier breath and pitch fits on the interwebz I'll release the beta faster". You know like they do with call o dookie. Then Todd went on to add: "A special suprise for the 5000th poster of a "when is it going to be here" topic on the offical bethsda forums I'll take a dump in a box and sell it to you for $59.99".(a special bowel release beta)
