Its just my opinion, "Bios" needs to be stored somewhere? Phat consoles have a only a TSOP chip the rest of the motherboard is fiberglass all the other chips and caps do not store that type of data,the same as Trinity slims this is were you store System managment files such as the .bin file on a 360. It can be dumped by pinouts on the motherboards.

There is nothing else besides a nand image .bin file to control the system on those systems discussed Corona also has a tsop chip aswell, but dont know much more then that.

sound functions are store on a chip controller, relayed to the power/off components...

don't need to confuse yourself by thinking there is another source "Bios" controlling a 360.

Edit: your link dates back to 2006... this was release date times, before/around it the JTAG(KK exploit was Revealed) So its safe to say it is known by now the system funtion files are within the Nand/CPU... and all the stuff in between would be the "BIOS" in your terms:)

Not looked into it that far, the speaker sounds are programmed to the speaker... , relayed back somehow to the on/off power, i have not been concerned with it enough to seek out such information

Well that was the whole reason i asked about the BIOS was because some source said the sounds for the power and eject were located in the BIOS.

If you do some digging you will find all my information i provided is indeed correct, it's safe to say the sound funtion on slim could very well be intergrated within the nand image.. aswel there is loads of development that goes into making that nand on the 360 far more indepth then i could ever go as i just providing you basic knowledge.

I would'nt want you misinformed, but to really get deep enough into the kernel and how it works will require alot of back ground in programming, I would hit up some of those developers on IRC for RGLOADER/TX IRC... they know loads of great info and have great knowledge of kernel debugging and so on..

No probs, i think this is the reason why carlooch posted this thread it keeps conversations on topic and off of other members threads.

I hope that gives you a better understanding of it, although learning is neverending especially in the field of which we are discussing and such..

1.What motherboard: Xenon
2.RGH or Jtag: Jtag
3. What seems to be the problem ? Name anything recent that you have done to you console recently (update nands, etc): it turns on and everything, the screen does not show up tho. i unplugged everything and i keep trying please help!!
4. What physical errors are you seeing (2/3 RROD, RGH not booting, RGH booting slowly, Jtag getting E79,etc) none! I've got E79, but i fixed it. i originally had 2 red rings then fixed that.
5. Do you have your OG Nand ? not even sure...
