Ok so i modded in 64 monster spawners. I placed one down in a dark room i dug out in a cave system no torches or light near the spawner or in the room.

And when i put it on hard and join my game nothing spawns out of them. Its pitch black and no mobs had spawned over a 30 min period.

Anyone know why they are not spawning ?

I haven't modded any in but my friends docent work ether so maybe they dont work.....


but they are usually in a dark room surrounded by mossy cobble stone you might have to match the size of the rooom are it wont work!!

What difficulty are you playing on? There are no mobs on peaceful it at least has to be easy

I placed them down on peacefull but then i quit & save and start the world up on hard and they dont spawn

When you spawn in the spawners, they only give you pigs ._.

Its because all of them placed by player become pig spawners so it needs to be light and have dirt

to all saying dirt you are wrong it has to be grass.
