I bought my RGH so i dont have any of the cords or wires it came with. I have been reading tutorials and it looks like i might not need them. Is all i need a usb my xbox harddrive and the programs? And also do i need a transfer cable or can i move all the files via file manager on FSD? I don't know if it makes a difference but its an Xbox Slim

So you've got a Trinity (Slim) RGH'd console.

First off, you can use FSD or XeXMenu to move the files from (filesystems) your USB or external Hard drive to your Xbox. Just move it to the root of your HDD (first layer where it has the cache folder)

You're obviously going to need a power source/AV cable to write the image.

Here's a helpful thread for all beginners on JTAG's/RGH's in general
- Forums/t=791843/beginners-guide-t...-2011.html

From the title of the thread it looks you're trying to flash RGLoader (Dev kernel) to your console, here's a tutorial on how to do it:
Forums/t=3653176/full-tut-how-to-...-jtag.html
You need to follow the tutorial to the point, or you will most likely end up breaking your console.

You can in fact use a USB flash drive and Xell to write the image, but a nand flasher is always suggested. Use at your own risk. In my opinion RGLoader is mostly all talk, but some people like it. I recommend that you get used to your RGH a little before you flash it to your console.
