How do I make my game start from the hard drive and not the disc because my disc doesnt work please help will +REP

You can't, you have to install a non-scratched disc on to your hard drive and then it will play of your hard drive.

You go to games on the new dashboard which is under the game bit where to click to play and if you have installed it, it will be there,

Well, if a friend has the game, ask them to let you use the disk, you install the game, then you can play it off of your dodgy disk

The way it works:
If you install a game from a non-scratched disc, it will still need to recognise the fact that that game is in the disc tray, but the game then reads from the hard drive which is faster than reading from disc.
If you only want to be able to play from hard drive you need to download the game from the game marketplace.
Or of course you could go and get an x-key but that's illegal
