ive been searching and haven had luck are there any good methods

yes you can. i did it. they live in and near a "Forrest" biome. if you want the achievement for it, keep looking for them. once you find them, save, and then tame them with bones. exit without saving and repeat.

Yes, you can be playing on peaceful.

Find a snowy/sandy biome and you'll find tons of wolves.

It worked for me.

I usually had luck finding wolves at night on easy, on my random seed near the woods. Good luck

Try looking Near Grassy Areas, Near Plenty of Trees.
If Not They Usually Come to me While I build my house or something. Not really Something YOU Can do to get more wolves.
