The question is in the title ^^
I have a HDMI cable but it doesnt seem to work when i plug them into both... does any one know?

I dont think you can do that. I believe the hdmi port to your laptop is output only. Unless its input i would check the manual to see if its input or output.

It depends, if your laptop has a dvi cable or not. I have never tried the HDMI but if your laptop has an HDMI cable let me know.

Yes use a cap card and watch the display on the laptop screen
