Peripherals & Monitor: Monitor, keyboard and mouse. Speakers.

Games: I'd like to play BF3, Arma 2+3, Crysis, future releases etc.

Software: None, I will pirate win7 ultimate

Aesthetics: Possibly a windowed case, not that important

Details: Is it possible to get a build with keyboard and mouse and then a build without keyboard and mouse? If so, that would be great.

Thanks a bunch.

I had to sacrifice on some parts like an SSD and after-market cooler to accommodate the peripherals.

Total 820.59.

This will easily slice through BF3, even when playing on 64 man servers. The extra gig of vRAM is usually useless for most games, but BF3 will require it, especially when you crank up textures whilst playing @ 1080p. Descent Asus TN panel - 1920 x 1080 and has LED back-lighting so it'll be pretty bright. Case has side window as desired + 4 x 120mm fans. G400 mouse with configurable buttons for MMO's and what not. 500gb Seagate should be sufficient - it'll be used for both boot and storage due to budget.

Not that is on Ultra with and without AA. Your screens refresh rate is 60 so any FPS above that is pure bragging rights. Solid card either way and later on you'll be able to add another one since the G43 and 750w XFX can hold 'em.

Thank you very much. I could maybe even do without the keyboard and mouse as I have them already but they are regular Dell and not gaming specific.

Yes, that will be fine and cut back on costs. You don't have to buy a KB/mouse right away, especially if you already have them even if they are not as favored as a higher end mouse/KB. I myself play on the lowest of the low and I do fine...but that's just me.

What is a good refresh rate? Mine is 60 hertz

60 hertz is the fastest refresh rate the human eye can discern, 60 refreshes per second. Anything more and it all looks the same.

EDIT: HAHAHA Generation MAD

Ohh ok cool, and the resolution is that what the monitor can handle (like the max is what the monitor can handle) or is it what the video card can output?

It's what the monitor is set for - whether that be 1920 x 1080 like most sub $300 panels or 1920 x 1200 like $300 Dell IPS panels or 2560 x 1440 like the uber high end Dell Ultrasharps that cost a chunk of money. A lot of AMD cards can do an eyefinity setup and support extremely high resolution and up to 6 monitors off of a single card. Just note the higher the resolution, a better card will be needed to support it and play games smoothly.

This topic is meant to be somewhere people can seek help from the people listen in the OP because we've had a lot of issues with people giving poor advice on this section and on this site in general. These people who think they know what they're talking about rarely do, and no offense, but we have no way of knowing you're not one. Plenty of people have asked to join, but none have actually proven themselves good enough to reach the correct conclusions on their own.

We see pretty much everything that goes on in sections relevant to this topic and we recognize good advice. If you want to help, post in these sections, but not in this topic. If we see you giving consistently great advice, we'll discuss adding you in our super-secret chat. If we can't find any reason to add you... Well... You probably won't hear anything from us. We've been very busy.

We came together because we noticed that we were some of the few sources of good advice on computer hardware around here, and this topic is meant to make it easy for us to cooperate and help as many people as possible. We're able to get a second, third, and fourth opinion on whatever we do.

EDIT: I sound really condescending. This is something I've been trying to work on, sorry.
