Hello! I am a Starcraft 2 player and I need a new rig to play it on. I'm looking for a laptop that can run starcraft 2 on 150-80 medium and 60-100 on high. My budget is at, or below $600. For those unfamiliar with Starcraft's minimum requirements, here they are:
Requirements:
2.6 GHz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
128 MB PCIe NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card or better
12 GB available HD space
1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista/Windows 7 users)
DVD-ROM drive
Broadband Internet connection
1024X720 minimum display resolution
Whoever finds me a decent laptop that will run with my specifications, i will +REP all of my rep which is like 40 something.

Considering that budget, you'd be lucky if you're able to find a higher end AMD APU like the A8 series and that's not going to run SC2 very well. The best case scenario is an i3-380m with a GT 540m or a 5670 / 5770m and again, not going to run SC2 very well at desirable resolutions. I don't know if you need a laptop or would just prefer one, but it's just not really realistic considering the budget unless you want to look at refurbished items. Honestly, just build a custom build and grab yourself a AMD 6850 ( which is far better than any mobile video card you'll fine in your price range and higher ) and even then it still struggles on high.

hawkin8tor wrote [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] How about this?
It's using Intel HD 3000 which is integrated graphics which is built into the CPU and isn't recommended for gaming, at all. Honestly, most gaming laptops start at $900 CAD at usually have power hungry GTX 560ms and i7m's with bulky plastic. You'd be lucky if you'd be able to get 2 hours out of the battery, and this is just whilst web browsing. Gaming oriented laptops are simply not worth it, especially Dell ones.

Dude I had to pay 1200 , just to get my laptop to play bf3 on high , but it would be very very hard to get sar craft to work with that budget.
Maybe on low , medium .
