whats the best antivirus protection all around? regardless if its free or paid? any thoughts?

Don't get Norton, it didnt pick up a RAT on laptop, then downloaded kasperskys trial version and it got ride of it. so in my opinion Kaspersky

I use Kaspersky Lab, it only cost $60 a year it saved my laptop many time though.

Don't pay for AV.

Get Malwarebytes and see the various stickies in this section that can help you. In my experience, this is the best AV.

I use Avast and I haven't had any problems yet. It usually detects everything and gets rid of it before it has a chance to ruin anything

personally i have used avast free since it came out and its never let me down or avg i use was pretty good

MIcrosoft security Essentials it is free and i catches anything harmful on your computer right away
