The question that I have is that does anybody know if macs are better than PC's when it comes down to programming and things? A message would be very helpful, thank you.

The short and simple response? No. Macs are not better than PCs at anything.

Well, duh? Minecraft isn't demanding. My $200 Thinkpad T500 from 2008 runs it as well as the latest Macbooks.

You're right. It's obvious you excel in computer hardware and clearly understand PC hardware as a whole and have been more than likely studying it for years. Apple computers are really good for the money and have an amazing O/S that is compatible with everything - those mobile CPU's are also editing monsters.

Apple uses the best of the best they can get their hands on, they also have great support, so I go with Apple. I am a PC owner myself, but if you like to make things, like pics, vids, websites they are the best in my eyes. They also have their OS down, unlike windows. The fact that OS X is a hybrid os (runs both 64 and 32 bit at the same time) is a REALLY big one if you ask me. Also, you can always install windows on a mac and do that. Don't get me wrong, I like windows as well, but if you arent a modder/hacker/super nerd, than apple is better.

the only advantage macs have over pc is there inability to get infected, but I have seen some viruses in word for mac.

um, as far as coding goes, no macs are not better than pc
