Playing games has little to nothing to do with RAM nor ''X'' HDD capacity. Games are more GPU dependent that anything, so you can 24gb's of RAM, but if you have an integrated graphics processor that is built into the CPU, like Intel HD ____ you won't be playing much above flash games / browser games. There are literally 100's of different 'Inspiron' laptops out there and we're talking a shot in the dark and just assuming it can/can't do this and that. There isn't a way of increasing your computer's RAM without opening it up and physically installing more. I think what SCBjesus is saying is he gave his computer more Virtual Memory, which isn't going to help him run games like BF3.

When it comes down to it, the only way to know is actually running BF3. Hell, no-one here has your computer, so how would we know?
