u guys fooking serious ? he asked howto make his pc faster, actually read b4 you reply ,

as for the post

ccleaner is the prog u should use to clean all the crap from your pc, it will clear log files unused .dll files , cookies

and i suppose what was said above about firefox and extra ram , these are both true,

as for the fool saying use google chrome u need shooting, why would u use a browser on an illegal site when they store your info ??

Physical
1. Take sides off the tower, and make sure there is no dust inside, if so, hoover it
2. Upgrade RAM
3. Upgrade CPU (if you are thinking about upgrading CPU, might be better to upgrade motherboard)
Software
1. Try a Disk Cleanup - Start>All programs>accessories>system tools>disk cleanup
2. Try defragging hardrive (you must not have anything else running whilst defragging) start menu>all programs>accessories> system tools>disk defragmenter

these are just some of the things you could try..

could you post your computer specs...

to find your computer specs, right click my computer and press properties.

some thing to do that are FREE is:

1. you can run a trial for a program called regcure:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
this helps with registry stuff

2. Defrag your hard drive(s). like someone said above...

3. run a virus scan with EITHER:
Ad-aware free
or
AVG free

4. uninstall unnessary programs/features that you wont use

5. it always would help to restall your OS every once and a while, (i do so once about every 8 months-1 yr.)
i have a post for it here:
