One of the tips is, don't buy packs.

You can search for players worth around 15k and buy ones you think you could sell for more. Also sometimes changing their formation can add a few thousand to the price so that is always worth looking at.

Buy Non shiny formation cards for 250-300 and sell them for 600 thats a 300-350 profit and the shiny formation cards bye them for around 1k-2k and sell them for 5-6k thats a 4k-5k Profit
