I have the Full version of Norton Internet Security 2012 and was thinking about uninstalling and getting Avast? Should I do it? Is avast better at protecting? I heard norton runs very lightly on the system and doesnt take up much cpu? And if I uninstall norton will my whole quarantine be set loose? Or will it be deleted?

Id stick with it for now, sence youve already paid for it. wouldnt be smart to remove it and try to get something else but if thats rele what you want get Kaspersky.

I would recommend Avast I have tested and reviewed that product. Microsoft Security Essentials is almost as bad as McAfee. I've already fixed and been on your Pc before so I can tell you what is the best for it. You download a lot of stuff Norton is to community based to detect the simplest strings of malware. You need something more efficient that won't compromise performance for protection.

Kaspersky being as amazing as it is will slow down your browsing speed and you computers performance putting stress in areas where stress should be. Sure it has many amazing features but it operates on 60-80Mb annually and sometimes at 100Mb when scanning.

Avast has many cool significant features which separate it from the competition. Avast has introduced a boot time scanner which is a combination of there original Rootkit scanner and their Internet security scan engine. Making the detection or Rootkits, and malware sky rocket. You have 4 Scan options Quick scan, which scans critical Pc files and areas. Full Scan which scan your entire computer. Custom Scan, where you can choose what you want to be scanned. Finally boot time scan, when you select this option the computer shuts off and begins it's scan. This scan stops windows from loading so Avast has access to ALL files, so if anything was hidden before or locked in a certain area... It's now out in the open. Once the scan finishes your computer starts up normally. It comes with browsing protection, a behavior blocker, and so many other features.

You said you use Paypal a lot. Well Avast enters a mode when your making a transaction that no one else can see besides you. Once your done making the transaction Avast shreds the information pertain to when you logged in making key logging password impossible.

Believe me Avast is right for you
