I want to learn a coding language but i don't know what the best one would be to use. I mainly want to use it to code PIC micro controllers but i also want to use the code for making programs. i was moving towards using C or C++ but would like to know the other options that could maybe simpler but just as powerful.

thanks.

C# is another language option. It is a pretty nice language that is developed by Microsoft.

Start with a .Net language, i started out with VB and it worked out very well, it is still my main language, but i am trying to learn C++ now, Which is a high end language, and has been difficult so far.

I learned to code with Eclipse in a school course. It's a pretty simple program. But I would start with C++ or some more advanced program so you can learn quickly.

I started out with VB, a .NET language and I learned how to code in Eclipse (Java) in AP Computer Science, .NET languages are definately a good place to start learning and make basic programs.

I would start with a .net language just to get your feet wet.

Then go to either C# or C++. Both great programs, but somewhat difficult to learn (at least it was for me)
