Title pretty much sums it up.. I dont wanna break the bank but I still want a quality monitor im planning on buying it used so what ever you can recommend is great thanks!

it doesnt matter what pros use, it matters what you can afford.
he wanted to know a good monitor so I showed him what the best used and i updated witha more affordable one under it too.

well even still, you can spend $70 and get an amazing monitor. Monitors really dont matter as long as you get good resolution monitors. I use a $150 monitor, that has 2 hdmis, and is 1920x1080, and it is amazing.
It really matters what you are willing to spend.
And no, your still wrong, $300 for a monitor is still too much money, and is not affordable. For your wallet it may be, but for most it isnt.

For gaming you want a 2ms response time monitor. I have an Asus monitor, that is 2ms, and it is GREAT.

When I was in your position what I did I bought a 28inch Vizio TV because 1 it was 1080p it was only 310$ and I could use it for my xbox and my PC and it has been working out great.

i just told you, my monitor is an lcd 23" viewsonic, because that was what i was willing to spend. I would have gone dual or tri monitor setup, but I didnt have the money.
So as i told you before, an amazing monitor is how much you can spend on it, you dont need what pros use. If you want an amazing computer, it varies on the parts. monitors arent really that important unless your willing to put serious money on it

ya I have a 23" which was about $170 or so, and i use mine for pc gaming and ps3 gaming.
mine has about a 4ms response time
