Yes, 6GB is enough to run fast and 1tb is a good storage amount.

Is the HDD 7200rpm?

4gb and 8gb are pretty much the same price on websites

Prices are actually pretty proportional. ~$40 for 8GB, ~$20 for 4GB. Even laptop RAM is following this model, including 8GB sticks. $5 per gigabyte unless you feel like overpaying.
