Depends on what security programs your School is using
if your school is using something such as Novell, you are probably screwed unless you are an IT Pro
Other things most of the time (with student/admin logins) you can just unplug the Ethernet cable while signing in and you should have access to the internet more.

My school runs Novell, and Norton endpoint. What I do (works 99 Percent of the time) is when you type in the url insted of like this:
thetechgame.com
Do it like this:
thetechgame.com
It will ask you a bunch of crap like it isnt a secure site and all, but you can ignore those, and you'll be fine.
