Real fans of a team actually watch their teams game when they're on.
Real fans know every player on the team not their starting line-up or a few key players.
Real fans don't give up on a team if a good player leaves them.
Real fans don't pick up on a team if they're "doing good".
Real fans actually know a more than a few facts about the team.

So next time when someone says they like the Heat half of the people will say I'm a fan of the Heat because LeBron promised us a ring and I know he can do it. Think about it he actually needs OTHER people to contribute not other him. Just like when 2005-2006 Heat won the finals D Wade and Shaq werent the only ones to score.

Who cares? If someone wants to be a fan of a team, let them be a fan. Who are you to say thats wrong? I dont see the problem if someone wants to get involved with or become a fan of a team. Let them do what they want to.
