Sorry to hear about you losing your stuff in a house fire. You will have trouble making upgrades to a pre-built PC as you are restricted to what you can do due to size and power limitations. You will be better off using it for a while until you've saved up enough money and build yourself a PC. When you have enough money (at least $500), then you should check out the Custom PC build sticky in PC Support, the guys in there will help you out with choosing the parts, as well as give you information on building a PC if you haven't built one before.
