the mayan calendar didnt include the extra day in leap years. so technically the final date was about 8 months ago if u add up 1 day every 4 years. sorry to burst your bubble kiddo, but were still here after that date.

Pretty sure the world was supposed to end in 2000, but did that happen? no.

Sorry to burst your bubble but yes it did (technically.) They based the calendar off of sun positions and seasons for multiple years. They were experts in time. There calendar is very accurate and still is. We created the measurement for time which needed changing. They did not have this type of measurement. Mayans have never said 365 days is a year, that is our measurement. They based it off of the sun and seasons.

You know what... Are you really going to believe the myans who made human sacrifices, and plus it supposed to end in 8012 because they found 6000 additional years to the calendar in a chamber in a myan city

Oslo wrote I think this is all shenanagins, because even NASA said that it's all just a bunch of shenanagins. All calendars end, it just so happened that the Myans (however you spell it) ended on 2012.

Couldnt of Said it any better !

The Myans did not account for leap years, if they had then then when would be past 2012 so technically the world should have ended already. 2012 isn't going to happen.

Still not sure... I think if the world does come to an 'end' in 2012 it will be coincidence...;)
