I plan on starting a new map and strip mining it for tons of ore. Does anyone know any seeds where there is no lava below level 16 or have tips on avoiding the lava? Every time I make a strip mine, I encounter tons of lava right off the bat and cant go anywhere with the mine.

Sorry dude, lava always spawns around bedrock area's :/

when you come across lava, fill it with gravel or stand, they will fall the the bottom of the lava pit and easy to destroy.

the best thing to do is cover it up with gravel (since its worthless)

Really because I have a few worlds and in each like 5 mines and I never hit lava except when I'm close to bedrock. That's weird though.
