No clue why I decided to post this, but here we go!


The computer know as...
Eris!

After several years of transition from an awful HTPC, Eris is finally complete! Actually, it's been done for at least a month now. Anyway, it's got:

  • i5-2500k (OC'd to 3.9GHz)
  • Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Motherboard
  • 16GB 1333MHz RAM (4x4GB)
  • Zotac GTX 560 Ti 448 Core
  • EVGA GTX 460 SE
  • 1TB HDD (7200 RPM, 32MB Cache, SATA 3)
  • 500GB old POS HDD
  • Some old DVD drive (the only remaining piece from the HTPC)
  • 650W Corsair PSU
  • Corsair 30GB SSD
  • Moar USB
  • All on Windows 8 RP


Also featuring:

  • 3 monitors (1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1360x768)
  • A drawing tablet
  • Awful speakers
  • Some loud, old keyboard
  • A Logitech G9X mouse held together with tape
  • Old Turtle Beach headphones, used for the mic only
  • An Xbox that never gets used
  • A wireless Xbox controller that's used all of the time
  • Tangled headphones
  • An Xbox Live vision camera (why do I own that?)
  • The best $7 mouse pad ever
  • An Atrix 4G
  • And a blurred out background (courtesy of Photoshop)


Not looking for a rating, just showing off.

Wow, this is a great setup.

I saw the image and was like, "WOW 3 monitors!" lol

Btw, that is the best $7 mouse pad!

Nice keyboard you got there.

Those backgrounds! lol

Anyways, I know you said you're not looking for a rating, but I really believe this could easily get a 8/10. Just because you didn't put coffee in the image!

Nice setup if I were to rate it I'd probably give it a 8/10, might wanna watch out too that computer monitor on top of the xbox might not be too good for seeing how its almost covering the fan :p

Most of the rig/setup was slowly put together over time with no plan and using whatever parts/money I had. In this case, a 12-year-old keyboard worked just fine. It's loud, but it's better than every other keyboard I've owned.

It's never on. I pretty much just use the Xbox for a monitor stand. xD
