I think I found the problem. The original plugin tries to add everyone as an owner, which throws null exceptions. I changed the code to only make the original island owner an owner, and the other people that join via party become members of the region. (still able to build and stuff)
Make sure you back up the old plugin just in case, since I can't really test this on my own.
