why can't i join my friends on mw3?
it just randomly stopped me joining their game...

They probably gave you an expired invite or something. Hope you can get it sorted.

nah they haven't cause they got into a game and i tried to join their session and it didn't work either:/

Did this just start happening?
You may have different playlist data
You can fix that by going to the main menu then back to multiplayer
Another reason could be that you have a strict NAT type
Try restarting your router and modem

thanks, but my NAT type is Open and i have turned my xbox off and back on. and i have tried restarting me router...

This happened to me last week. You or whomever you're attempting to join must go to the Xbox Dashboard and click on "Test Xbox Live Connection".
Doing so usually resolves the issue for me. Good luck.

Try unplugging your router/modem then plug it back in and try that best of luck.
