I want you guys to understand a few things about MineCraft alright? This thread alone will end ALL of your questions about MineCraft towards: mods, glitches, patches, mobs, armor, duplicating, etc.
First up I'll give you some history on MineCraft for those new and old, this is on our politics with MicroSoft and Mojang.... Alright so we all know Mojang owns MineCraft, established this, now we also know this about MC and that it's been true to it's players by encouraging modding and glitching, only patching what is getting negative feedback being so little things it's impossible to believe. Things like duplicating and infinity water are still not patched as proof and have been enstated since Alpha release. The very foundations of MineCraft are based on it's mods, texture pack mods, and mods. Could you agree with me? I think you can and will instantly and be in a joy to do so. Now this is Mojang. We love Mojang, but we know Microsoft to never do the things that Mojang does. They heavily discourage modding and glitching of any kind, in any form, and or shape. They even ban and ruin their users in the process in which to keep their rules enstated and forced unlike Mojang our rules are merely understably, "Do not distribute our great MC please or make cracked versions." I personaly agree extremely and highly with this. All other rules are formed and based due to a server or mod you play on nothing else. Sadly for us MicroSoft refuses to accept Mojang status to this. Doing so MicroSoft has tried to actually cheat Mojang out of its' profits to their XBL MC. Not only that but as you saw and will read below Mojang put standards on MicroSoft to prevent them from becoming like the PC version with the ideal that MicroSoft would try to buy them out again. Now if MicroSoft without permission adds items, mobs, blocks and or anything else resembling or in actuality being part of a patch of the PC MC they'd break their contract. With that Mojang takes them to court, MicroSoft having possibly trillions for this matter waiting would take their shot to buy them out. Yet MicroSoft as a foundation refuses to accept this one thing... I ask you now would you play MineCraft on the PC or XBox if every glitch, and mod was patched and you couldn't play unless you took the patch? I know as a fact I would no longer hold my MineCraft pride anymore and destroy the very computer I own with the game on it. No one wants patches, we want Mojang, not MicroSoft. Enjoy the rest of the read, it gets depressing but it's very informational.
Now I'll ask you a few questions and answer them alright?
1.) Ever notice on XBL MC that creepers blow up quicker?
The reason why this happens is not a glitch nor the game in a non-lag/no lag environment but the fact that the timer in it's very coding was set to such. Why? Because if the timer was as the PC version is it would be against the Mojang policies laid down to stop Microsoft from trying to over run MineCraft. So basicly a slower timer on creepers = PC version which breaks the Microsoft contract to own and host MineCraft on XBL which would end them up in court. Get a bow.
2.) Dude...What-- RUN! RUN! OMFG SKELLY ON SPIDY RIDING IT! RUN! OMFG!
 terrifing sht, but yes this is in fact not a glitch, but put in place to give Microsoft a new boundary to avoid a copyright infringement law making their MC like the PC one.
3.) Glitches, why the hell did they patch them!?
Simple, because Microsoft as we all know is like Jagex(owners of RuneScape mmorpg game). For those who don't play the legitment RuneScape, Jagex hates its' players and gave them no say in how and where they can PvP destroying the foundations of their own game horrificly ruining their profits. Now with this said Microsoft as we all know does the same, we never get a say in patches or what should stay and go correct? Yes. Microsoft looks at glitches as exploits in a game that could cause less players to play XBL or even stop and sell the game back. I'm sure you've all ran across people who want to and don't want to mod. This is how you can look at that. Some want legitment things others not so much. Now to why the patches came in, it's because they saw things like the duplication glitches as ways of exploiting the game, I've yet to meet ANYONE who has not modded or duplicated on MineCraft have you? I want a lie detector on anyone who says they haven't. Besides the point, MicroSoft sees a glitch as a bad thing and clicks the patch button without a second thought. Mojang as we know has, is, and always will be the only game that said "Yes omg! This glitch yes we need to keep this! No wait...We'll improve it and add some things the players want. Wait hey there's this one too that's kinda been getting bad hype let's fix this." And as we all know this is why we love Mojang, they kept and improved our glitches and patched the actually bad ones and never stopped us from modding but encouraged it!
4.) OMG RAZZELFAZZEL I Saw Herobrine?
No you didn't, Herobrine was originaly in the MineCraft Alpha and Beta of the PC. Removed though during Beta. Now what's this have to do with anything? Easy, Herobrine is owned by MineCraft even though it originated as a bug and then patched and became a mod. None the less the name, skin, person, abilities and all is owned by MoJang and will never be apart of Microsoft due to boundaries set in position by Mojang against them to do such things.
5.) Updates...We didn't get out pistons but we're getting them in the next patch right?
In honesty I would from the bottom of my heart on a bible say no. Simply because as I've told you guys Mojang owns MineCraft, and are allowing MicroSoft to use the title. Chances of us getting to a PC MC patch above the current one we're on, I doubt it heavily. Not only that, but soon enough MC for XBL may not even be moddable, this I believe strongly.

TO be straight foreward Mohjang(However its spelt) And microsoft made then agreement, you are correct but 4J studios got permission from Mojhong(Howere it spelt) to allow them to update it, to try to get with the PC. So that means there will be mods, texture packs, skins, and other sorts like the PC version
