I strongly recommend you don't, seeings there is very little difference in performance so sure that you will bearly even notice. Many of my friend has 2600k and simular buils and their are very little difference. If you are eager to upgrade i recommend the i53770K, seeings that it offers better performance over the 2600K and is at the same price range i believe its cheaper.

I5 is good enough. If I can remember its only like 10-15% difference for an i7 If you want an upgrade go for it but its pretty much useless and I5 OC'd is plenty.

That's an Ivy Bridge CPU, and they get a LOT hotter than Sandy Bridge. So basically they give a 10% performance boost over Sandy Bridge, but get a lot hotter. So where I can go 4.5GHz with the 2500K, I would only be able to go 4.2 or 4.1 with Ivy Bridge. So basically, the are exactly the same. I get the same performance from a 4.5GHz overclock on Sandy Brige, as a 4.2GHz overclock on Ivy. That... is pointless. And they are basically the same processor. And upgrade would be an i7 Ivy/Sandy bridge. That is the same as what I have now.
