JME wrote I do want to fight for my country and I am very interested in guns, warfare etc and always have been. I have done so much research into it but i'm looking for an unbiased opinion and reason.

Its a good thing you want to fight for your country. Follow your heart dude.

I would recommend finishing your studies first so you have something to fall back on. If you wish to go to university, then do it..
If you do go to university, when you leave the army what ever you studied in university will open more doors for you, give you more options what to do in life.

In my opinion make sure your passionate, don't go fighting a war you are ignorant of, or feel uncomfortable with, and think about the effects on yourself and others around you. (also think on what you can fall back on after you leave the army, in your case you seem to have a wealthy life so it shouldn't matter)

Other than that, I myself would Join, and think it would be a good experience.

I wouldnt ask TTG tbh because most people will just say Yes fight for our country, I would talk it out with any of your friends or family that you can.

If you're asking people on this website, I don't think it's meant for you.

You should be asking yourself that, not us.

It's totally up to you.

Go in for something other than infantry. Like computer shit, or something that way you have something to fall back on. I can't say much considering I've signed up for the Marines and have basic in the fall. But it's something to think about. Call a recruiter.
