This isn't true... Mayans made that calendar over several years in which they used seasons and sun's positioning to measure it. These people were masters of time. We created a measurement of time based on numbers which happened to be wrong, so we adjusted it. Their calendar is still very much accurate.

Have you accounted for the fact that the Calender was not deciphered until around 600 AD by a monk who used the Birth of Christ as an apex, he got the Birth year wrong by 6 so if the Mayan Calender was true the world should have ended in 2006...

It isn't... considering we use the Birth of Christ as a basis for our Calender. This makes the Mayan calender almost undecipherable in our time.
