They're bassy though, huh? The way they talked about them seemed to indicate otherwise. But then again, The Beats Studio is marketed as Studio quality. Same with the AT Pro 700 MkII.

They're really warm. Like...as warm as California. I'm not exactly sure why they described them as treble and midrange focused, because they're not necessarily like that. They're good for the genres they talk about though. I'm listening to The Tallest Man on Earth and his voice is kind of cloudy because of the warmness and dip in the treble. They're kind of hard to describe since they're not dark by any means, they're not obnoxiously bassy, just warm with a few midrange peaks.

Actually, imagine a warmer Sony V6. I think. These are hard to pin down.

Hmmmmm... Since I don't have any headphones like this... I must have them. I have no idea what my brother listens to, but he uses these:

Which I must have been out of town when he bought. I've been trying to get these OUT of my house for some time now, and I think the Laredos are the perfect solution.

Budget: $50-$80 CDN

Music preference: J-Pop, J-Rock (a vaguely defined genre, but I listen to mostly anime/game songs and BGMs tbh)

Type/form factor and portability: over/on-ear

Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): either

Source(s): Sony Walkman NWZ-E438F, LG G2X

I think I've already asked before, but I'll do it again just to test the waters. Not sure if I can justify such a purchase to my parents, but either way I intend to get the best bang for the buck.

Slightly better than Beats for the price but still pretty overpriced. I don't recommend them, but I won't heckle you as much if you get them.
Alot of Youtube reviews say that there wonderful. Granted many Youtube reviewers know nothing. They look like Beats and I love the way they look. That's the only good thing going for Beats.

Here's Ishcabible's review of them: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

But yeah, never trust Youtube reviews unless they're people like Tyll Hertsens: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Iphonesczar knows hi stuff to. I'm not seriouslt considering buying them. After my Crossfade Lp's I'm probably gonna get some AKG's.

Which AKGs? I'm imagining the Q701 here, they'll be drastically different in every aspect. They'll also need some pretty powerful amplification.
Well I was thinking the K701's.

I definitely would not get a K701 if you were looking at a Fanny Wang. They won't have enough bass, open as the outdoors, and you probably won't get enough volume from your source, unless it's a receiver or something.

The Mixamp should let you use the Audio Technica AD700 and Zalman ZM-1 clip mic with Xbox. That pair will beat out any "gaming" headset. And I mean any.
