I had the same exact problem, what i did to fix it was i gave it a good tap on top of the tray, so it would loosen the top plate.

This happened to my friend. Just hit the top of the Xbox where the Tray is and it will Open.

take disc out close tray wait for 10secs then open tray then put disc back in mine does the same
