Im trying to become a higher rank so may be one day i will become some kinda of staff but do i have to be Premium to become a staff because i looked through all of the TTG staff and they were all Premium.

No you do not.

Premium is a choice. It is not recommended.

Staff have it because they have contributed to the site, so they have it for ever (correct me of I'm wrong)

But no you do not.
